As a single girl in my almost mid-twenties {24 in December!} I often hear the question, "Are you seeing anyone...yet?" or "Oh you're still single?" and my personal least favorite, "Why are you still single?"
Well, if I knew...I probably wouldn't be anymore!
I'm constantly reading articles and blogs from other single ladies and a lot of their insights and stories on being single is refreshing!
Sometimes, I feel down about my relationship status, but then I remember I can do so many things with my life right now.
I have no husband to answer to or children to take care of.
Who cares if I get off work and spend the rest of the night on my butt watching tv and looking at Pinterest?
Who cares if I eat leftovers for the third night in a row?
No one. That's who!
Anyway, this all to say, I found this website today and I'm in love.
It's called hellogiggles.com.
I haven't looked at the whole website yet, but I saw this article called The Single Girls Guide.
I read the first one and it was great.
Erin, the author, has written a bunch of Single Girls Guide articles on the site and I'm hooked.
She makes such valid points and it's hilarious at the same time.
Y'all should check it out!
And now, I will leave you with a picture I found on Pinterest that I adore!
I am in love with the hair!
Alrighty, now it's off to watch Desperate Housewives!
XOXO
I love this post. As a married woman I often am at a loss when my many beautiful single friends tell me how much they wish they were in a relationship. I feel like I have no right to say anything because obviously, I can't exactly understand how they feel right now. But what I WISH I could say was, "Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!" because the chances are, you'll spend many more years of life attached to some other people and relatively few at your own leisure. I'm so glad to hear that it's continuing to be a positive, wonderful experience for you and I say RELISH IT!! Soooooooo many good things to love about flying solo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth! I try to stay positive because I don't want to be that friend who's constantly complaining about being single! haha I am enjoying being single in my 20's! You're right, I have the rest of my life to be married! :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy to read that you are enjoying life and not missing out on all the awesome opportunities available to you right now! And i think what helped me the most before my husband came along was knowing and remembering to trust God with every single aspect of my life. His perspective of time is nothing like ours and now i know that His is what i would have always wanted for myself because theres nothing better. So enjoy where you are right now and know He cares for your every single detail and will bless you in every way!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I'm happy to have so much encouragement from other bloggers! God is definitely showing me that I have many opportunities as a single girl in my 20s!
