It was 2006 and I was 18 years old.
I was watching with my church youth group, so they cut out commercials and the half time show.
I was the rebel who drove to my friends house during half time to watch because I didn't want to miss The Rolling Stones.
And worst of all, the refs gave the game away.
I don't care if you like the Seattle Seahawks or not, there is absolutely no denying that the refs screwed them over and gave the game to Pittsburgh.
Even the head referee of that game, Bill Leavy, came out saying he screwed up.
Well, Seattle was not going to let that happen again!
If you didn't watch the game, or haven't heard about the massive blowout that was Super Bowl XLVIII, you must be living under a rock {or watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta marathon}.
The Seahawks
I made these cookies, one blue batch, one green batch, and baked them together for Seahawk colors!
Gotta have Skittles! They're Marshawn Lynch's favorite candy.
Whenever he scores, fans throw skittles onto the field.
Honestly, the game did get kind of boring.
By half time I already figured that Seattle would win, which makes for a less intense/interesting game.
But I'm still SO proud of the Hawks!
The defense was amazing, Wilson was spot on, and Harvin!!! What a comeback after being out injured for so long.
I don't usually post a lot about football, but the Seahawks are my team, Seattle is my favorite city {and someday I hope to live there} and green and blue is a lot cuter than orange and blue, am I right?!
Anywho, I'm off to catch up on the last 5 seasons of 24 because apparently the show is coming back to Fox this Spring.
I guess 37 seasons of the same thing happening over and over again wasn't enough.
Long live Jack Bauer!
XOXO
P.S. #GoHawks ;)
