Let's jump into this weeks Awkward and Awesome, shall we?!

Awkward:

- Instant messaging with your boss at work.  Sending a chat to a fellow co-worker about said boss.  Realizing you sent said chat to said boss.  Honestly, it could have been worse.  I didn't say anything bad and it was sort of a passing comment about our boss.  It was just completely humiliating.  Then I had everyone else tell me their accidentally chat/email stories and I felt better.

- When I go to get my eyebrows waxed, the lady asks me every.single.time. if I want my lip waxed too.  Way to make a girl fee insecure.

Awesome:

- Signing my lease for my very own apartment today!

- Getting to see one of my favorite books turned into a film this weekend!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Happy Thursday, lovies!

It's almost the weekend...yay!

I'll probably wake up tomorrow singing, "Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday..."

Just because I'm wild like that.

Anyway, it's time for some Awkward and Awesome goodness.

Enjoy!

Awkward:

- Barely fitting into the bridesmaid dress for my best friends wedding.  Here's to 3 months of running and no eating... ;)

I die.

- In the past month, 3 of my friends/co-workers have announced they're pregnant and a plethora have become engaged {Ring by Spring, ya know!?}  The most exciting news in my life is that I finally cleaned my room...

Awesome:

- I went on a memorial run for Boston yesterday.  After I was done, I saw a group of runners that looked really fun.  I asked them if they were a group that ran together often.  One guy said to me, "We're a drinking group with a running problem." Ha!  He then proceeded to tell me all about it and invite me to join.  So guess where I'll be every Sunday and Wednesday evening?! haha

- I couldn't decide whether to put this under awkward or awesome, but decided it should go under the awesome column.  At work, I am given student's applications from the recruiters at the university.  I then take them to a coworker to be scanned into the system.  I am supposed to put my name on them so he knows who left the apps.  Eventually we became friends and I would write things like, "From LP, yo" or, "Get some work done, G"...I don't know why I perpetually talk like I'm Jenny from da block while at work.  Anywho, that's neither here nor there.  Today I wrote one word on the note..."Poop!"  He knew exactly who it was from.

- When above mentioned co-worker goes away for a couple of days...

I wrapped every single one of his pens individually.

Also, his scissors.

Pure evil.

- Apartment shopping.  EEEK!  It's so much fun to look at all the things I can't afford, but would sell my kidney for!  Shout out to Mama P for buying me some AMAZE Anthropologie stuff recently.  I will post pics soon!

- The video I just posted from Dove about beauty is great.  Here is the man's response to that video.  I died.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Hi friends!

I hope your week is better than great!

Mine has been pretty good...a few ups and downs, but overall, I can't complain.

I'm excited to just take some time tonight to catch up on all of your blogs!

I've missed them.

But first...I have to do a little A&A!!

Awkward:

- No one recognizing me because of my new hairstyle...oh yeah!  I got my hair done!

A guy at work told me I have Zooey Deschanel hair!

Big shout out to my girl/hairdresser, Heather S!

Everyone has loved my hair, but friends have walked right by me, looked at me funny when I say hi, and a few have even screamed when they realized it was me.

Too funny!

It is a big change and I love it.

It's been so fun.

- Trying a handstand at CrossFit...

     Instructor: "Ok, I'm going to help you.  If you want to bail, the word is 'bail'."

     Me: Kick my leg up and he grabs them and tells me to straighten my arms...I start flailing around...fall back on my face and THEN yell "BAIL BAIL BAIL!"

But let's be honest, I was just impressed I could kind of do a handstand!

- How my love for the show Sons of Anarchy is making me love 'bad boys' even more.  There's such thing as scruffy, tattooed, badass guys with a kind heart right?!  I will not give up hope.

- Lynchburg's obsession with getting married by the age of 21.  I'm practically a nun here.

Awesome:

- I put down the deposit on my VERY OWN apartment yesterday!  I feel like such an adult. (minus the part where my parents helped me pay the deposit...).  I will post pics as soon as I move in, around mid-May!  It will be very sad and pathetic at first seeing as I don't currently own much furniture.  But I'll be scouring Pinterest and TJ Maxx for ideas.

- My new haircut...duh!

- Talking to my male coworker about Pretty Little Liars...he legit told me his fiance didn't make him watch it with her...nothing wrong with a little guilty pleasure!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday and The Bachelor Review!

Hola bugs!

I hope all is well.

I'm just spending some time relaxing, catching up on The Bachelor {don't judge...I know it's retarded!}

But there's been some great A&A moments this week.

Let me discuss...

Awkward:

- There's this guy at work who's super sweet and likes to give me compliments.  Well, today he decided the whole room should hear his compliment.  I'll be honest, I looked cute today.  I wore a cute skirt and a precious green flowy top.  So, I'm walking out of the room and this  guy walks by me and says something too quiet for me to hear.  I said, "What was that?"  He turns around and loudly proclaims, for anyone remotely near us to hear, "You look beautiful today!!"  I just said, "Uhhh...thanks..." and walked away.  Haha!  I'm sure everyone thought I was such a B!

- Getting in bed by 9 and still not falling asleep until midnight!  What is that?!  #nightowl

- If being a Facebook Stalker was a job, I'd be a Pro.  That's almost too awkward to put on my blog...

Awesome:

- I joined a workout group with some people from work.  We meet MWF for an hour after work.  These two guys lead it and it's been awesome!  It's so much easier to eat healthy when I work out regularly.

- Talking to my niece on the phone...

Zoey: "Aunt Lindsey, will you come to Disney with me?"

Me: "Oh Zoom, I wish I could...why don't you ask Grandma to buy me a ticket?"

Zoey: "Grandmaaaaaaa can Aunt Lindsey come to Disney with us?!"

Haha!  She is the cutest cutie on the planet!!

I'm SO super jealous that I won't be able to see her meet Mickey! :(

A quick Bachelor Review:

So far, I think AshLee is amazingly sweet and so gorgeous!  Right now, she's my fave.

Jackie, Selma, and Catherine also seem sweet.  And I really do respect that Selma didn't kiss Sean.

I go back and forth between Katie Holmes {I mean Des} because at first she was adorable, but a couple weeks ago I think she was a little catty.  

Lindsay is hilarious {like us Lindsey's so often are... ;) } and she reminds me or Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I don't think she'll win.

I cannot stand Tierra.

Those are the girls who stick out to me so far.

Well, I'm off to get some Zzzz's before a big celebration tomorrow night.

My friend Vivi turns the BIG 2-1!

I've been saving up all my calories for drinking and dancing tomorrow night!

Hola Amigas!

I hope your Thursday is going well.

I am stuck inside my house due to snow, which gives me the chance to procrastinate from home work and blog!

4.0 for me, for sure...*sarcasm*

Here's some A&A junk for ya!

Awkward:

- I started grad school 3 days ago and literally already am tired of it.  How am I going to do 2 years of this crap?

- I put on heels the other day to wear to work.  Good thing I brought flats because I changed into them in the hallway as soon as I walked in.  Like seriously, 2 seconds after I walked in the door...heels came off.  Why do I even try?

- Winter weight.  I spent all Summer losing weight, but come winter and cold weather I put it back on...we'll call it, the hibernating bear.

Awesome:

- Due to the snow, I have a 3 hour delay at work tomorrow!  I'm going to try to wake up at the normal time to get some studying in...we'll see how that goes.

- This meme:

Whether you like Obama or not, this made me laugh out loud.

It's just ridiculous.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Happy Thursday!

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I love Thursdays!

It just means 1 more glorious day until the weekend!

Technically, I only have a 1 days weekend this week.

The deli/bakery I used to work at is letting me asked me to help out Saturday.

I get to spend the day seeing customers that I got to know over the course of 1 1/2 years, work with my dear friend, Megan, and eat a free sandwich!?

I'll take it!

It's been a while since I've done an A&A post.

I don't know why...I love these posts.

Maybe because my life is full of awkward and awesome moments {let's be honest, mostly awkward}.

So, here are some of those glorious moments over the past couple weeks...

Awkward:

- I have some guy friends that work at the same University that I do.  Said friends come to my desk and visit pretty often.  The older ladies in my office seem to think that every guy who walks up to me is a potential future husband.  This is cool I guess, but is it necessary for them to comment on every single one?  A few days ago one guy was "so sweet and you two would be an adorable couple!"  The next day another guy "is just super funny and cute!!"  And I get a lot of knowing looks from my co-workers.  One of these days they're probably going to put a sign on my desk that says "Hi, my name is Lindsey and, yes, I am single!"

- Trying to watch Wipeout while running on the treadmill.  I am sorry, but that show KILLS me!  I seriously laughed out loud so many times I swear I almost fell off the treadmill.  My awkwardness makes other peoples days I'm sure!

- Meeting my friend at the gym at 5am.  Ew.  Are you kidding me?!  But I will say we are kicking the gyms butt and getting our butts in shape.  So. Worth. It.

Awesome:

- After 2 weeks of Fantasy Football, I am proud to say that my team, the Fleet Street Demons, are in 1st place!!  That's right.  A girl is winning so far.  Let's be honest...a lot of it is luck, but I do deserve some credit because I actually researched before I drafted my team.  Go me!

- This kills me...

Donuts are my favorite food.

Favorite!

Now, I don't ever eat them, but that's mostly because I know I can't control myself with them.

They say if you love something enough, you let it go...

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Oh my!

It's been so long since I've talked with y'all!

I miss you so much when I'm slacking and not keeping up with my bloggy world.

I've just been so busy...having fun!

I haven't played volleyball in probably two years and this past week alone I played four times.

And my arms have a few bruises to show for it

I've made some new friends and stayed out waaaay too late a few nights now.

Could that be why this week is going by at a snails pace?

I can't believe it's only Thursday.

But, speaking of Thursdays, it's A&A time, folks!

Awkward: 

- When I called my Poppy last week on his 96th birthday and he tells me he wishes he could see me get married.  Haha!  He's 96 so what are ya gonna do!?  I feel like I need to get married right now so he can witness...any takers?! ;)

- When a group of people take 30 minutes to pick a movie.  It's not life or death.  If you hate this movie you can suffer through it and watch a better one tomorrow!

- Cleaning my room and 5 hours later it's a complete disaster.  How in the world did that happen when all I did in between was paint my nails and take a nap...

Awesome:

- This conversation with my friend, Alex:

Alex: "I just cried at the end of Extreme Couponing on TLC.  What is wrong with my emotions!?"

Me: "Remember when we used to cry watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition in high school?  We're girls, we cry about everything!"

Alex: "Seriously! I cry every time they save all this money!!"

Me: "HAHAHAHA you made me laugh so hard!  Can I put that on my blog....?!"

Alex: "Haha...sure...?"

Oh man! I laughed for like 5 minutes.  I can just picture the cashier saying how much the person saved and Alex sitting on the couch bawling...hahaha!

- Watching Hot Rod till 1 am {on a work night...gasp!} with a group of 20 somethings.  My name is Lindsey and I like to party.  I'm actually surprised I can even stay up that late anymore...

- Spontaneous road trips with good friends!

Me & Kat

- I've decided to do a 3 day juice cleanse.  This could potentially be awkward because, let's be honest, everyone gets a little grumpy when they can't eat; however, I found a cleanse that allows 6 oz of lean protein every day.  And I keep telling myself, "Man up, Lindsey.  It's only 3 days."  My friend is getting married in a little over a week and I want my hair and skin to look really healthy and drop a few extra pounds quickly.  Gotta fit into that dress!  I will keep you updated!

Alright, I've been sleeping like crap lately so let's see if I can manage to get a decent nights sleep tonight!

Alright alright alright, it's Thursday night!

Fridays make me so happy!

I had to work late tonight so I'm getting this post in just in time.

So, here is this weeks A&A...

Awkward:

- Wearing heels the day after boot camp at the gym...wobbly legs!

- My spin teacher doesn't know my name or the names of the girls I go to class with, but he has nicknamed us "The Troublemakers."  That can't be good.

- When a sales guy at American Eagle comments, "Man, you come in here a lot!"  Gosh, I'm just trying to find the perfect pair of jeans...don't have to call me out on my shopping addiction, dude!

- When you're talking to someone on office chat at work and he makes you laugh out loud...very loud...and then you realize everyone around you thinks you're laughing at nothing and you're officially nuts.

Awesome:

- Hunter Hayes' song "Wanted".  Seriously, has there ever been a sweeter song sung by such a young kid? Well, besides the Biebs, of course. ;)

- Spending Fathers Day with some friends and my adopted Virginia family at the lake.

Debby is the mom and such an incredibly fun person!

We kayaked for a while and named ourself the "Kayak Coastguard."

Our motto was: "If you need help fast, you probably need to get someone else."

Hahaha!

It was such a fun day.

- My best friend, Danielle, got a teaching job!  The sucky part is she will be moving home to NC.  SAD FACE!!  But it's only 2 1/2 hours away and we've already decided our relationship is strong enough to handle long distance!

- Today is my brother and sister-in-law's 8th anniversary!

Hello loves.

I have missed A&A Thursday's a lot lately which is sad!

I thoroughly enjoy writing them.

Mostly because my day is full of both awkward and awesome moments.

So, here it goes...

Awkward:

- Shalie and I hung out last night.  That's not the awkward part...this is:

Shalie: "Lindsey, when you write your blog you write just how you talk.  You're so witty."

Lindsey: "Aw you think I'm witty!?"

S: "Yeah!"

L: "Well, thanks!  I'm going to blog about how you think my blog is witty..."

S: "Umm...ok."

Haha She is my favorite!

- Sleeping through your alarm, jumping out of bed 20 minutes before you're supposed to leave for work, and then trying to pretend the greasy, messy hair look is "in".  It isn't.

- Listening to comedians through my headphones at work.  I laugh at everything, but get me in a situation where I'm not supposed to be loud {i.e. work, church, meetings...} and I can't control myself.  My team will just be sitting in silence doing our work and all of a sudden Jim Gaffigan says, "Putting bacon in a salad is like panning for gold.  The bacon is all you really want."  I lose it and everyone thinks I'm the crazy girl who randomly laughs.

Awesome:

- Shalie's puppy, Mia.

Every time I see her I contemplate stealing her.

I went to their blog and it is amazing.

If for some reason I don't end up eloping {which is my plan} I will be enlisting them for my wedding photos.

- Now that I have a job that will pay for my masters, my mind is filling with endless possibilities.  I've started a list of places I want to travel to {this one requires quite a bit of saving too}.  I'm researching which fields need more employees and which ones are shrinking.  I'm imagining where I'll go after school, where I'll live, where I'll meet a man, where my kids will grow up...it's all very exciting!  The world is my oyster!

Haha This is so cheesy, but cute!

- Getting to hold one of my good friends baby for the first time.

Madison Elisabeth...I love her!

It's rare that I have more awesome moments in my life that awkward.

I guess these are the times to be thankful for that!

Anywho, I'm off to spend time with my girl Kat and her lovely momma.

Thursday is always a slow day.

It's almost the weekend, but not quite.

There's still one more day to get through before weekend bliss can begin.

And what a blissful weekend it will be.

I plan on relaxing as hard as I can before I start my new job next week.

There is one thing to look forward to on Thursday's, however {besides power yoga, of course!}

I've missed a few weeks, but I'm back on track...for this week at least.

Awkward:

- Have you ever had a man in his mid 50's approach you at work and ask if you know mouth to mouth?  I have.  Yes, it was very awkward.

- Apparently I've been put on the email list for my new job that I haven't even started.  This is great except that I get 50 emails a day with lingo that I have absolutely no way of understanding the meaning and it does not apply to me at all.  Then I get an email about picture day and immediately revert back to middle school thinking about how awful picture day was...oy!

- Never being able to decide what to do with your hair.  I see a picture of Reese Witherspoon and want to be blonde.  I see a picture of Mila Kunis and want dark hair.  I hate being indecisive!

- Three days after the NEEDTOBREATHE concert my ears are still a little bit fuzzy.  I most likely permanently damaged them, but it was so worth it!

Awesome:

- I am so excited to start a new job.  I've bought some cute professional clothes and shoes.  I'm going to decorate my cubicle in the most adorable way.  Meeting new people is always fun, too!

- I'm so excited to get my nails done on Monday!  I haven't had a manicure since I've been working at the deli 1 1/2 years ago.

- I love jean shopping.  I love it even more when I need a size smaller than expected!

Alrighty, it's time for bed because I have an early morning ahead of me.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

I hope your Thursday was just as awkward and awesome as mine was!

It was more awesome, but we'll get to the awkward first.

Awkward:

- This conversation at work today...

Cute customer: "Are the quiches ready in the morning?"

Me: "Yes, we do have quiches in the morning."

CC: "No, I mean can I come pick them up in the morning?"

Me: "Umm...you could call in the morning and I could set them aside for you.  Is that what you're asking?"

CC: "Uh no.  Never mind."

Seriously, I have no clue.

- Getting burnt buns from tanning...not fun!

- A guy friend says he really wants to go on a date.  So obviously, I try to do a little charity work and offer to go on a date with him.  And then he laughs.  And continues to laugh...

-My mom says I can't get a pet.  So when a spider is living in my car and won't leave, I just decide to name him Spike and let him stay there.

Awesome:

- I turned on the tv tonight and Chelsea Lately was on.  I love Chelsea so I watched for a few minutes.  She asked her "assistant" Chuey if he's ever going to get married and he said, "When I meet the right girl..." and the whole audience replied with unanimous "AWWWW".  Then he said, "And she get's pregnant".  I laughed so hard I almost peed myself.

- I found these awesome running shoes I want to buy when I lose 10 more pounds!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Alrighty people, it is once again time for Awkward&Awesome!

What what!

I'm super duper excited that it's Thursday because that means it's almost Friday!

Well, that and it's Grey's Anatomy night!

I've used entirely too many exclamation marks in this post already, so I'm just going to get started!

Awkward:

- I think I'm funny.  Like, really funny.  I always know at least one person will be laughing at my jokes...myself.

- When a cute guy walks into the shop, I literally lose all verbal skill I've ever been taught.  I can't remember how to take an order and I most certainly cannot make eye contact.  Umm, why am I still single?!

- I can never make up what to do with my hair.  One day I want it long the next day short.  Light or dark?  Don't even get me started on the whole bangs issue!  It's not a long-term commitment, but I act like it's a life or death!

- I wish Tums made a bottle of only red Tums.  I search through the bottle to eat the red ones and then I'm stuck with the yucky green, yellow, and orange ones!

Awesome:

- This weekend I put on a pair of pants that I haven't been able to wear since high school.  Talk about a great feeling!

- I got a new Nalgene.  My old one was stolen at the Y and I was so upset.  I loved that water bottle, but this new one is just as great and I love the design even more than my old one!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

It's that time again, folks!

A&A is always one of my favorite posts of the week {also one of my favorite bands...Angels&Airwaves!}

I am so incredibly looking forward to the weekend.

I'm seeing my dear friend, Shalie, on Saturday.

We talked about possibly going to a winery or getting brunch at this adorable tea room.

We always end up spending way too much money when we're together...and I love it!

Well, anyways, it's time for some awkward and awesome!

Awkward:

- I started watching the show Parenthood on Monday the 20th...I watched two whole seasons and am on episode 7 of season 3 right now.  I know what you're thinking, "Geez girl, get a life!"  Well, I'm trying, but right now my life consists of work and working out.  But Parenthood is an amazing show!  If you're not watching it, I recommend you start.  Now!

- Giving up desserts for Lent.  This could be more appropriately filed under the "torture" category, but awkward is close enough.  It's actually a really good idea because I needed a little sugar detox.  Working at a bakery I am constantly baking cookies, muffins, cakes, making truffles and fruit tarts...this would inevitably lead to me eating a reject cookie {or a few} or having cake tops or a truffle.  It became a daily routine to have sweets when it should be a treat every now and then.  So, after 40 days of no desserts I am hoping to break the habit and only enjoy sweets when necessary {like, say, every other day!}

Awesome:

- The Oscars!  I loved watching The Oscars this year.  Even though I had never seen Hugo or The Artist {which won almost everything!} I loved looking at all the dresses, listening to the aspiring speeches, and watching Sacha Baron Cohen dump "ashes" on Ryan Seacrest.  Especially that last part!

- It was so warm outside today.  I LOVE Summers and I am so excited to lay out at the pool, have bonfires, go to the beach, and watch some of my awesome friends get married! :)

- My new Zensah Compression Sleeves {Found Here!}.  I put them on at night after a workout or being on my feet all day at work.  They are great for increasing circulation and totally soothes my sore calves.  Since I've been working out almost everyday, my legs have gotten so tight and sore and I have been getting shin splints as well.  I know that stretching and doing yoga will help with the tightness and soreness, but these sleeves are just great for a quick fix at night when my legs are in pain.  If you've been thinking about getting some, you definitely should!  And no, Zensah isn't sponsoring this post, but maybe they should be... ;)

Ok, well, I think it's time for bed.

But you know what I'm really going to do...watch more Parenthood!

Hi dolls {like how Kourtney Kardashian says it}.

I hope your week is going wonderfully!

It's almost Friday and I have some exciting weekend plans which will only make Friday fly by even faster!

Here is my A&A from this past week...

Awkward:

- Taking a nap after the gym because, let's be honest, naps rule!  Waking up on the couch after 1 hour only to move to my bed and "nap" for another 2.  Seriously, sometimes my naps are longer than some peoples actually full nights of sleep.

- My friend Megan asked me to tutor her in Statistics on Sunday.  I mean, I did get an A...the second time I took it.

- Crying in the movie theater.  I cry in every movie.  Like, every single movie.  I'm anticipating seeing The Vow on Sunday night and crying the whole way through!

- My thought in the evenings when I'm picking out my outfit: "This is cute...ooo with heels!"  My thought in the morning when I'm getting dressed: "There is no way I'm wearing those ankle breakers...give me flats and a gallon of coffee!"  I'm not the best with mornings.

Awesome:

- Going to the gym even when I'm soooooo tired.  Can you say dedication!?

- The opportunity for new things in my life.  I won't go into detail because if nothing comes of it I don't want to feel even more sad, but new things are always exciting!

- Danielle's blog!  She is such a pro already.

- This actually happened this week at work:

Customer {he's a regular older man that comes in often}: "I would like to order the Valentine's box for someone special"

Me: "That's so sweet!  Someone special huh?!"

Customer: "Yeah...ok I'll tell you.  It's my weed dealers girlfriend"

Me: "Oh...that's...great...?"

Hahahaha!!! I laughed so hard when he left.  Then proceeded to text everyone I know that I have knowledge of where they can score some pot.

I love that my life is so random and I never know what's happening next.

It sure does make for a more interested blog!

Happy {almost} weekend!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Awkward:

- Running on the treadmill at the gym.  This in itself can be awkward because where am I supposed to look?  The tv that I can't hear {maybe I should learn to read lips}?  The people walking by?  I don't want anyone to think I'm checking them out {even if I am...pathetic}.  But what's more awkward is that when I get tired and think about slowing down, a hot guy will walk in.  Well, can't stop now.  The problems with being a single girl.
- Going to a dinner party at Shalie and Erin's house and being in charge of the wine.  Ok, that wasn't the awkward part.  What was awkward, however, was walking around Kroger with 2 bottles of wine.  And that's it.  I got so many looks like, "Oh she must have had a bad day" and "ALCOHOLIC ALERT!"
- Watching the season finale of Kourtney and Kim Take New York.  Does anyone else watch it just because Scott Disick is hilarious?!  I mean, what does he do with his life?  Just coast off of Kourtney's money probably, but he makes me laugh.

- Is anyone else not excited for the half time show during the Super Bowl?  Madonna...really?

Awesome:

- It is February.  It was 60 degrees out today.  I. Love. The. South!

- Drinking wine, eating cake {I ran today so it evens out, OK?!} and watching Grey's Anatomy.  <3

And on that note, I'm going to watch Grey's now because this episode looks awesome!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

It has been a long day, friends, so I am going to keep this short and sweet and to the point.

Plus I only have 7 minutes till it's not Thursday anymore.

Awkward:

- Counting calories and being so excited at the end of the day because I have enough calories left over that I can eat Mac & Cheese at midnight...which sort of defeats the whole purpose.
- I'm starting to get realllly nervous about running my first 1/2 marathon!  Thoughts like, "Can I even run 5 miles" and "I'm the girl who, in high school, would run until I was out of sight of my cross country coach and then walk" keep creeping into my mind.  I refuse to let them get the best of me.  I am stronger now than I was 3 months ago.  I am motivated and excited and proud of myself just for trying.

Awesome:

- Karaoke Night!

Megan said I look like Rosalee from Twilight...I will take it as a compliment.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

I keep telling my boss that she is trying to sabotage my healthy lifestyle.

She keeps making monkey bread, muffins, cookies, cupcakes.

Then, I remember I work at a bakery.

Oh yeah...

Awkward:

- Waking up and thinking, "Yeah, I look good enough to go without makeup today."  Half way through the day, looking in the mirror..."What was I thinking?"

- When you run to the store "really quick" so you go in sweats with hair all messy and no make up on {and we've already determined that is not a good look for me} and proceed to see every person you have ever met.  Including, but not limited to, former teachers, long lost friends, and most importantly, hot guys.  Oy vey.
- When Danielle reads my blog with me next to her.  Example:

Me: "Danielle, what are you laughing at?"

Danielle: "Your blog!"

Me: "Dani, don't read my blog right in front of me!"

Danielle: "Why not?!  If you don't want people to read it, don't post it."

Ok, she might not have said that last line, but I know that's what she was thinking.  It's true.  If I didn't want people reading every detail of my life, why would I write a blog for everyone to see.  Or post it on Facebook, inviting all my friends to read it.  So, go ahead and read all of my interesting, stupid, funny, sad, silly, and sappy blog posts. :)

Awesome:

- Not only am I not hating my workouts, I'm actually loving them.  Who would have thought?!  But when I start my 1/2 marathon training, I'm sure I'll start to hate it a little.  Or a lot.

- Yay for fun weekend plans.  Getting together with an old friend to go out for tea {yes, like a grown up tea party} and shopping downtown at the market.
- Working with my friend Megan.  When we are closing the shop together we like to turn the music up, sing, and, on occasion, dance!  Could you sing Hanson to your co-workers without being judged?  Didn't think so.
- This song --

I heard this song in spin class tonight and it was super motivating.

Not as motivating as "Sexy and I Know It" but really, is any song as motivating?

- This video.  I apologize to my readers, mother, and Jesus for the video title having a four letter word in it.  But it's just too funny to not post!

Every person I show this to has the same reaction to it -- "Lindsey, that is YOU!"

Haha I admit it....I want to know where the hot guys are!

I'm leaving in 30 minutes for the midnight premier of Breaking Dawn...

I'm SO excited.

I feel like such a nerd.

Luckily, I don't have to work tomorrow so I can stay up late without thinking, "Oh man, I have to get up in 5 hours."

 Well, onto a quick A&A!

Awkward:

- This conversation I just had with someone about renting my room.

Her: "I'm really interested, but...are there pets?"

Me: "Yeah, we have 1 dog."
Her: "Ooh ok.  I'm afraid of animals..."

Awkward!

- I'm wearing black and red to the movie tonight to show vampire support!  How old am I??  {24 next month!}

- Texting someone back really fast every time and them taking an hour.  I don't want to look desperate, but let's get this conversation over with already!

Awesome:

- Hair appointments!  I'm thinking this color...

Very classy I think!  With a fun cut...

Love the bangs!

- It's almost Thanksgiving...which means it's almost CHRISTMAS!

- Thank God for illegal frowned upon websites so I can watch my tv tomorrow morning that I'm missing tonight!!

I hope you ALL are going to the Twilight premier...or at least seeing it at some point!!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Today is my beautiful friend, Danielle's, birthday!

I won't say how old she turned because a lady never reveals her age...or her friends' age.

She is one of my best friends and so gorgeous, inside and out!

I am thankful for them everyday.

Danielle is the strongest, most honest person and I LOVE HER!

Ok, switching gears from my lovely friend, to A&A!

I know I always say, "It's been a while since my last A&A post..."

Well, the same goes for this time too! :)

Awkward:

- Change.  I'm not opposed to change, but it takes some adjusting.  I feel like my life is going to take some major adjusting pretty soon.

- The amount of time it takes me to catch up on 2 seasons of a show.  I just started watching The Vampire Diaries maaaaybe 1 month ago...I'm already caught up to the current season {which is season 3...episode 9...} Oh yeah, I've been caught up for a while.

Awesome:

- This video.

I literally cannot stop laughing every time I watch this.

I show it to every person who walks through my door.

- I've been getting some emails to do button swaps on the blog!  How fun!  I'm totally open to the idea, so feel free to email me! :)

- Not having to work tomorrow!  I'm excited to sleep in!

- Clint Eastwood.  He is one hot old man!  If anyone knows of a guy who looks like this

It's a Girl! And Awkward and Awesome Thursday

My brother and his wife have been torturing me for months!

They got pregnant but decided to not find out the gender of the baby {the nerve!}

But, Tuesday, Sarah finally had the baby and she had a beautiful baby girl!

I so wish I could be there to hold her, but I'm not going home again until Christmas!

But I did find a super cute onesie to send.

HAHA!

I Saw it and knew right away I needed to send this to her!

I bought it in the 3 month size so she can wear it when I'm home for Christmas.

Is it sad that it also crossed my mind to buy it in every size they had so she could always make this statement!?

Maybe my niece can find me a man! ;)

It's funny because it's true.

Not necessarily that I'm prettier than everyone, but basically everyone I know is getting married before I am.

This isn't really a horrible thing though.

Many of my high school classmates are getting divorces before I'm even getting involved in serious relationships...I'm pretty thankful for my singleness sometimes.

Other times, I want to drown in a bottle a glass of wine.

I've just been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift lately, wondering how a 12 year old can know more about love than I do!?

Well, let's jump from that topic to a totally different one...

Awkward and Awesome!

Awkward:

- When a guy calls you to tell you that he's moving and wants to take you out when he comes back into town, but you're totally not interested, totally never were friends, and totally have no idea where he got your number {creepy!}  So, obviously you don't call him back and then obviously he comes back into town every weekend and you see him a few times and he stops to talk to your friends so you awkwardly keep walking...quickly...away!  Awkward.

Truth!

- When you are feeling bold so you text your guy friend/crush/you'retotallyoverhimbutnotreally {did ya get that?!} everything you've ever felt for him in 1 text and end it with, "it's not your fault you're so precious...but I'm over it.  Ok!? :)" Why do I do these things to myself?  But he's still my friend and still invited me to a hockey game the next night.  Stand up guy!

- When someone sings the national anthem and changes the key like 3 times in a very obvious way.  It's painful for me to listen!  Please, just stop mid-song and walk away.  You'd really be doing us all a favor. Double awkward points if they ask how they were and if you have to lie and tell them they were great...

Awesome:

- I have been thinking about all of the exciting things I can do with my future and I have a few options I'm considering.  Since moving to Hawaii and being a beach bum doesn't pay much, I've decided to not go that route.

- After I read The Hunger Games Trilogy, I was afraid I'd be so bored, but my friend gave me a new trilogy to read!  The books are called Black, Red, and White by Ted Dekker...I'll review them for ya after I read them!

- I've been working out a lot lately...some pictures that have been motivating...

I want to hate her, but she seems so nice.

So I love her instead.

But, I don't know if walking for an hour can make up for the cupcake and 2 cookies I ate today.

Darn!
