Everyday Makeup Routine

My dear friend, Sarahann {hi love!!} recently asked me for some advice on a concealer.
I love hearing other people's makeup recommendations, as well, so I figured I'd share mine.
This is what I'm using currently.
Yes, this post will be way too long with too many products.
Enjoy!

1.  The POREfessional Primer
This bad boy is awesome for people with larger pores or oily skin.
It goes on so smooth and keeps skin pretty matte throughout the day, too.
If you have a problem with your foundation disappearing by lunchtime, this will definitely help it stay put, as well.
Yes, it's pretty pricey and it was hard to fork over that much cash for a little tube, but I've had this product for 5 months and I haven't even used 1/4 of it.
A tiny bit goes a looooong way.

2. Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer {I use shade Terre Neuve}
love this tinted moisturizer so much!
Honestly, the reason I originally bought this is because there is a shade named Alaska and I thought, "How cute if I live in Alaska and my makeup is called Alaska. Destiny!"
Turns out, Alaska was about 2 shades too dark for me...oh the irony.
It definitely lives up to it's name -- radiant.
Even in the dead of winter, my skin looks a tad bit sun-kissed, hydrated, and protected with SPF 30.
Because it's not a foundation it won't give a full coverage, but even when I have blemishes this coverage seems to perfect my skin.
I was told that this is proven to help reduce the appearance of discoloration and dark spots, creating a clearer and brighter complexion.
I was skeptical, but YES, my skin looks amazing lately.
Give this product a whirl!

3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I use this concealer under my eyes.
It's so smooth and brightening.
I don't have dark circles under my eyes, so I can't say if it covers those extremely well, but I really like the way it looks on me.
Also, I haven't tried it, but I've heard MAC's Prolongwear Concealer gives amazing coverage.
It's also $10 cheaper than Nars, so it'll be my next concealer purchase.

4. MAC Studio Finish Concealer
This concealer is much thicker so I use it on blemishes for lasting coverage.
It has a creamy texture, but doesn't look cakey at all.

5. MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural {I use shade Medium Plus}
I actually stole this from my mom because she wasn't using it.
I'm not too picky with my powders, but I really like this one.
When I need a little bit more coverage, but don't want to build up multiple layers of foundation, I just use some powder and it makes my skin look flawless and matte.

6. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
I use this for my undereye to set my concealer.
It's translucent, but has tiny little flecks of brightener in it.
It immediately brightens my undereye and, because it's translucent, it won't build up or look cakey.

7. Nars Orgasm Blush
I know, I know...
Everyone uses this blush, but that's because peachy-pink is universally flattering.
Plus, the little bits of shimmer are so girly and fun.

8. Tarte Clean Slate Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer
I used to hardly ever wear eye shadow.
Two hours after I would put it on, the shadow would crease like crazy.
Enter this eye primer.
My eyeshadow doesn't crease AT ALL.

9. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
This is obviously so perfect for everyday use.
These shadows are soooo buttery smooth!
I normally use 'Walk of Shame' {W.O.S.} all over my eyelid, 'Naked 2' buffed in the creased, 'Faint' smudged under the lower lash, and 'Crave' as the liner.

10. MAC Eyeshadow in 'Shroom'
I use this fantastic shadow on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye.
It's a satin finish so it has a bit of sheen without looking frosty.
Per.Fec.Tion.

11. L'Oreal Voluminous Volume Mascara in Blackest Black
I have tried just about every high end mascara there is.
Everything from Dior to Lancome to MAC.
Yes, I have liked some of them, but not enough to pay $25 when I could be paying $7 for this awesome mascara!
Obsessed.
That's all.

12. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose
If I'm not in the mood for lipstick, or I need some extra moisture, I opt for this.
It gives a hint of color, helps my chapped lips, and protects with SPF 15.

And there it is.
My list of go-to products that I use on a daily basis.
Of course, since I love makeup, I am constantly changing it up, and if I'm feeling particularly sassy I'll wear a bright lipstick or bold eye.
I hope this helped to inspire you.
Let me know what your favorite everyday products are so I can be inspired, also!

XOXO

  4. Wow! You sound like a professional make up artist! I tried to use BB cream and tinted moisturizer, but they always make me break out. I think it's just because my face isn't used to any type of coverage, but it sucks when I want to use it and can't. I think I'm going to have to start using eye shadow primer, though. I didn't have problems in Colorado with the creasing, but I have a feeling that I will now that I'm back in the South!

    1. Have you tried Tarte Amazonian Clay BB cream or tinted moisturizer? I haven't tried it but that brand is supposed to be really great for sensitive skin. I'm sure Sephora would give you a sample. I'm not a professional (I wish!) I'm just obsessed with makeup! haha My makeup would melt off my face during summers in Virginia, but I can't imagine the humidity in Alabama!
